MSP roundtable: M365 reality report
Thursday, November 5 @ 2pm EST
Most MSPs say consistency across clients is their top Microsoft 365 priority. Yet 77% aren’t fully confident that every client tenant meets their own security baseline.
Augmentt surveyed 193 MSP professionals about how they manage Microsoft 365 across their clients. Many of them run large environments: 43% manage more than 50 tenants, but 58% still set a new tenant’s security baseline by hand or with custom scripts. Only 17% describe their M365 work as mostly proactive. Copilot demand is now arriving on top of all that. In the past 12 months, 47% of MSPs had an AI or Copilot-related data exposure or near miss in a client tenant, and only 1 in 10 say more than three-quarters of their tenants are ready for Copilot.
In this roundtable, three MSP leaders react to the findings and talk about what they see in their own client environments.
You'll learn:
- Where security gaps show up most often (stale accounts after offboarding, over-permissioned users and guests, configuration drift) and how to catch them before a client does - How MSPs decide whether a client tenant is ready for Copilot, and what to fix first
- Why only 42% of MSPs show clients their security results through automated reporting, and how to prove the work without building reports by hand
- How MSPs price M365 security work: as projects, as a separate line item, or bundled into the managed services fee
- What it takes to move from reactive to proactive when you manage dozens of tenants
